This is a tour designed for every age, learn and amaze yourself with the great variety and fascinating life of bats. During this 45 minutes to one hour tour, you will learn about their behavior and anatomy, you will learn and see by yourself how they fly, socialize, eat, nurse their babies and if lucky even see how they give birth.
The guided tour, as well as the informative exhibits, will make you learn and hear features like a special ultrasonic microphone which allows visitors to hear the echolocation of bats and how they socialize in real time.
The exhibition includes eight species of bats and a total of 95 living individuals of the Monteverde area, and through a glass window, you can see them in a flight space designed to like a nighttime cloud forest. You can watch the bats feed, hang and fly around and even have the opportunity to see them being fed on fruit.
Through this tour, you can learn about the fabulous world of bats, their importance as insect population controllers their functions as flowers pollinators and how they take care of regenerating the tropical forest.
